Rockhopper's a mobile self contained pro quality recording studio. And anyone can use it. It's fully equipped, air conditioned, has lots of instruments and amps and you can record, edit, mix and master in it.
Rockhopper Studios is based in a fully restored and equipped 1963 Airstream Overlander Caravan. We're neither a static recording studio nor a mobile facility - we're both.
The Airstream is roomy, comfortable and it's unique curved shape gives an incredible recorded sound. We can do pretty much everything conventional recording studios can do - certainly in terms of bands, singers and singer/songwrtiters.
- We can record a 4/5 piece band "live" inside the Rockhopper
- We can record acoustic drums and, because of the unique curved shape, generate a great drum sound using our studio kit or your own drum kit
- We have a big collection of guitars and amps and can create a vast array of guitar sounds
- There are ideal facilities for vocal recording and a great selection of vocal mics
- We can mixdown and master
- We can duplicate CD's
- There are cameras on board to record the session.

Rockhopper is an evolution of the recording process - not only by condensing an entire studio into an Airstream Caravan - but also improving the resulting sound with its superior acoustic properties.
It’s an entirely pro-quality recording studio, and also a mobile one. It houses an isolated room for acoustic instrument and voice recordings, an innovative guitar amp ‘fridge’ to enable a more customised sound, and a range of high-quality instruments and amps that any artist can use.
Recording bands to produce release quality music is primarily why Rockhopper was designed. But rather than recording you how WE want, we record how YOU want. If you're touring, and perhaps want to lay down a few new ideas in a live performance to take away on the day, we'll provide a fantastic sound for your demos. If, on the flip-side, you have an entire album to meticulously craft - instrument by instrument - we can pull out all the stops to provide a superior quality in a highly efficient manner.
